Restpy is a product of Ketpy.com — a small studio of engineers, designers and ex-hospitality folks based in India.

The story behind Restpy

Restpy was built to solve a problem every restaurant owner in India was complaining about: aggregators eating their margin, old POS systems eating their time, and nobody helping them keep talking to their guest after the meal ended. We thought we could do better.

So we built one platform that handles every order channel — QR dine-in, takeaway, delivery, in-room dining, manual server entry, and WebBook for online pre-orders — with a single kitchen display, a single waiter app, and a single owner dashboard. No commissions on customer payments. Your data, your guests, your terms.

What we believe

  • Restaurants own their guests. Aggregators rent you traffic at 25% commission. We give you the toolkit to bring those guests directly to you, and never charge a cut of their orders.
  • Software should be invisible. The best F&B technology disappears into the operation. A waiter shouldn't fight the app; a guest shouldn't learn a new interface; a chef should just see what's next.
  • Data is power, not noise. Restpy doesn't bury insights in 40-tab spreadsheets. Every owner gets a phone-friendly daily summary and an AI assistant that answers questions in plain English.
  • Indian by default, global by capability. 16 languages, 5 currencies, GSTIN/HSN handling, e-invoice IRN integration. We started in India because India has the world's most complex restaurant operations.

Where we are today

Restpy currently powers 1,200+ outlets across India, Singapore, Dubai and Doha — from a single-counter café in Bangalore to a 50-outlet QSR chain in Mumbai. Our customers process over ₹40 crore in monthly GMV through Restpy, and our average kitchen-display order time has dropped from 14 to 4 minutes across the network.

The team is fully remote, with hubs in Gurugram and Bengaluru, and an offsite-only culture that brings everyone together every quarter. We hire from the F&B world as much as the SaaS world.

Who builds Restpy

Restpy is a product of Ketpy — a restaurant-technology studio operating under Gepton.

Gepton is a privately-held holding company building software products across restaurants, hotels, retail and apparel. Ketpy is the food-and-beverage arm — every line of Restpy's code, every kitchen-display animation, every QR menu, every pricing plan is shaped by people who have served real diners and reconciled real till drawers.

We don't list individual leadership profiles on this page on purpose. Restpy isn't a personality cult; it's an engineering team obsessed with the boring details of running a restaurant well. Whoever you talk to from Restpy speaks for the whole team.
