Your data, our duty.

How Restpy collects, uses, stores and protects information for restaurants and their guests.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

This policy explains what information Restpy collects when you use the platform, why we collect it, and how you can manage it. Restpy is operated by Ketpy, the SaaS arm of Gepton, based in Gurugram, India.

1. What we collect

  • Account data from restaurant owners and staff — name, email, phone, role.
  • Guest data when a customer places a QR order — name or phone (whichever they enter), email if they choose to log in via email OTP, and the order itself.
  • Operational logs — IP, browser, timestamps. Kept for 90 days for abuse prevention.

2. Why we collect it

  • To fulfill the order, route it to the right staff, and send a receipt.
  • To run loyalty / repeat-visit features when the guest opts in.
  • To improve the product (aggregate analytics — never sold).

3. Email-OTP guest login

If you choose to log in as a returning guest, we send a 6-digit code to your email. We store your name + phone after first successful order so we can pre-fill on return. You can ask us to delete this anytime by writing to team@ketpy.com.

4. What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
  • We do not store card details — Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1) handles payments.
  • We do not track guests across third-party websites.

5. Your rights

  • Ask for a copy of your data → email team@ketpy.com.
  • Ask for deletion → same address. We honour it within 7 working days.
  • Restaurant owners can export their own data via Manager → Backups.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies: session id, theme preference, currency preference, and (if you log in as a returning guest) a long-lived login cookie you can revoke by signing out. No advertising cookies.
